Moura State High School is seeking a motivated and well organised School Technical Officer to assist in managing the operation of a school’s information and communication technology (ICT) network service to contribute to the enhancement of student learning opportunities. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for supporting learning in a school environment. This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.40FTE), 29 hours per fortnight.

About the Role:
As a School Technical Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining the school's ICT environment, ensuring reliable and secure technology services for staff and students.
You will provide technical support, manage and maintain ICT equipment and networks, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and contribute to enhancing teaching and learning through effective technology solutions.
The successful applicant will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality ICT services within a dynamic educational setting.
Hours of work are spread across 4-5 days per week depending on the needs of the school and may change in consultation with employee and Business Manager. This position is located in the library and will be support to library staff on an adhoc basis.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the school's ICT systems, networks, and devices.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for staff and students.
- Install, configure, repair, and maintain ICT equipment and software.
- Perform. preventative maintenance and manage ICT records.
- Support the effective use of technology in teaching and learning.
- Liaise with stakeholders and provide technical advice as required.
- Apply strong technical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Progressional roles show a salary range spanning two classifications. Appointment will be made at the level appropriate to skill and fulfilment of required criteria.
