Woorabinda State School is seeking an innovative, relational and community-focused leader to join our leadership team as Deputy Principal - Community and Engagement.

This position plays a critical role in strengthening partnerships between school, families, Elders and the wider community to improve student engagement, attendance, wellbeing and achievement.

This is a temporary full-time position from 13 July until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

Woorabinda State School is located in Central Queensland, approximately 170 kilometres south-west of Rockhampton, serving a proud and connected community.

About the Role

The successful applicant will lead strategic initiatives that foster positive relationships, strengthen cultural responsiveness and support shared decision-making processes that place students at the centre of all we do.

Working closely with the Principal, leadership team, staff, students and community stakeholders, the Deputy Principal - Community and Engagement will contribute to the school's vision of creating a culturally strong, high-expectations learning environment where every student is known, valued and supported to succeed.
