Lead Mathematics teaching and learning at Yeppoon State High School in a temporary part-time Head of Department opportunity from 21 January to 10 December 2027.

The successful applicant will have the capacity to teach Mathematics and be ready to contribute to curriculum leadership, staff capability and positive student outcomes within a collaborative school leadership team.

This Temporary position is being offered in a Part-Time capacity (0.2 FTE), 10 hours per fortnight, to commence 1 January 2027 until 10 December 2027 unless otherwise determined

Your opportunity:

As Head of Department - Mathematics, you will provide curriculum and instructional leadership across the Mathematics faculty, supporting high-quality teaching, learning and student achievement.

The successful applicant will:

  • Lead and support effective Mathematics curriculum delivery.
  • Build staff capability and support consistent teaching practices.
  • Use evidence and data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and the wider school leadership team.
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement priorities.
