The Principal Business Analyst provides support through the analysis of current procurement practices and the identification of improved operational approaches based on data inputs and industry best practices. You will work with statewide, regional and local teams to improve knowledge of analytical techniques and to provide additional support to teams as required.
What you'll do
You will:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups.
- Develop high quality documentation for all stakeholder groups including high quality process maps and business and functional requirements documents.
- Prepare, update and maintain various portfolio, program and project artefacts including reporting.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Excellent understanding of procurement and/or supply chain, and mechanisms associated with data management and control, and knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of procurement and/or supply chain processes.
- Excellent understanding of S/4HANA procurement and/or supply chain processes, functions, standards, tables and data.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective use of analysis tools and in using data to support business decisions, including demonstrated experience in Microsoft applications (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint) and the ability to create text templates, charts, pivot tables and presentations.
- Extensive demonstrated understanding of regulatory obligations, threats to business continuity and the exercise of adequate control measures.
- Understanding of the complexities and diversity of working in complex environments with overarching public service obligations.
- Proven ability to adopt contemporary established practices, ideas or developments elsewhere and adapt them to meet current needs, and a demonstrated understanding of the key drivers for stakeholders, internal and external, to provide best value commercial solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading business process modelling activities for large scale complex organisations and the ability to provide expert advice and recommendations on the application of appropriate business analysis techniques, methodologies, and tools.
