You will be responsible for overseeing and leading the alignment of key strategic initiatives and represents System Procurement on whole-of-government and other key forums.
What you'll do
You will:
- Lead and drive the identification and resolution of issues including providing strategic, innovative, and practical advice to complex issues often of a political, commercial and/or sensitive nature.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development and successful implementation of initiatives and complex projects including demonstrating advanced problem solving and analytical skills, planning, and resources management to deliver business improvements.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop collaborative and trusted working relationships, particularly at the senior and executive levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced understanding of contemporary procurement practices and application to the Queensland government context to deliver value for money.
- Lead and drive the identification and resolution of issues including providing strategic, innovative, and practical advice to complex issues often of a political, commercial and/or sensitive nature.
- Deep understanding of the political, human resources and financial pressures and constraints that impact service delivery within a procurement and whole of Government environment and the capacity to recommend courses of action which achieve optimal outcomes within those constraints and deliver agreed outcomes to clients.
- High level strategic leadership experience in governance, risk and compliance functions in large and/or complex organisations, preferably within a procurement framework.
- Demonstrated high level human resource management experience to drive a positive team culture including the provision of coaching, mentoring and/or performance feedback to positively influence and motivate others.
