As the Senior Systems Officer, you will provide advice to clients, both external and internal in relation to dailty, monthly and annual systems processing activities, helping ensure seamless financial operations across Queensland Health.
What you'll do
- Undertake duties in either the Systems Processing Payments team or the Systems Processing Master Data team.
- Lead all cyclical systems processing activities, including exceptions handling, in accordance with approved processes, procedures and schedules.
- Lead all activities regarding maintenance of key master data sets for Queensland Health's Corporate Finance System (i.e. S/4HANA) including ongoing and cyclical data activities (master data exceptions and purging of records).
- Develop and maintain appropriate processes and procedures to facilitate effective internal controls for systems processing activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Queensland Health's Financial Management Practices Manual, internal policies and procedures including Queensland Health's internal control framework.
- Liaise with clients, Internal Audit and external stakeholders / service providers regarding systems processing activities.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated functional and technical skills in the use of large integrated financial information system together with a sound knowledge of systems processing functions across numerous system modules.
- Knowledge and application of relevant legislation, standards, policy and procedures applicable to financial management in a large complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate, analyse, interpret and evaluate complex system processing issues in order to resolve them within very short time frames.
- Demonstrated consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively function individually or in a high performing team.
