What you'll do:
- provide authoritative and strategic advice in the domain of work, health and safety to the Director, executives, managers and employees within a multifaceted state-wide health care setting. Coordinate a team to develop and implement the Health and Safety Management System for the Department of Health divisions.
- develop and execute strategies to embed a safety culture across the Department of Health by strengthening business partnerships and liaising with shared duty holders across the state.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- High level ability to successfully lead work health and safety programs of work to achieve a measurable and enduring impact on organisational performance while ensuring compliance with legislation and other requirements.
- Record of achievement in providing high-level advisory and support services to senior stakeholders on safety systems and strategy including legislative frameworks, policy issues and developments, trends and emerging issues.
- Proven conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving skills that results in client focused solutions, including experience in the implementation of embedded safety management systems.
- Highly developed management skills in leading a team to achieve a positive safety culture with enduring demonstrated outcomes.
- High level consulting, business partnering and communication skills which are conducive to positively influencing others in a complex environment of performance accountability.
- Contemporary, professional knowledge in health and safety management systems, risk management, safety assurance and corporate performance management capability, including the ability to analyse, interpret and report on data.
