What you'll do
As the Manager, Governance and Risk you will lead and manage the provision of the governance and risk management function and services to enable successful delivery of large scale, complex Information Management (IM)/Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programs and projects aligned with Queensland Government legislation, Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) and Queensland Health policy requirements. You will manage and control program and project governance activities to enable effective management and decision making.
Reporting to the Director, Program Management Office, you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the effectiveness of CES Programs overall delivery governance through the application of Department of Health governance frameworks in a delivery context; and
- Application and implementation of Department of Health's Risk and Issue (change control) Management frameworks into the delivery risk management context and driving a culture of risk management in CES Programs.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in the development and conduct of program and project risk management and the coordination of the identification, assessment, management, reporting and review of risks, preferably in a large, complex, health service delivery organisation.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge of the concepts and practices of strategic risk management and organisational analysis and improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present strategic risk management advice and to research, prepare and present complex reports, including consideration of the organisational context in the making of recommendations, in a diverse, client service delivery organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of program and project governance and reporting frameworks, tools and services in a large, complex service delivery organisation.
- Proven negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment.
- Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to use high level interpersonal, negotiation, consultation and communication skills appropriate to all stakeholders to create a strong client focus.
- Ability to clarify complexities and articulate a compelling vision of change.
