This position provides authoritative advice and assistance to the executive, senior management, and staff in relation to the Department’s ICT risk management and governance practices, to ensure best practice is embedded into our culture and reflected in our management practices in achieving organisational objectives. This position reports to a manager in GAIM’s Resilience and Assurance Unit.

Your key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise risk management policy, standards, and guidelines that are aligned with recognised industry good practice.
- Research and analyse data in the production of high-quality reports for senior and executive management, and governance committees including the Department's Audit and Risk Committee.
- Research and monitor internal and external environments to identify new and emerging trends and patterns to better mitigate risk and exploit opportunities which may impact the ability of the Department to achieve its objectives.
Role fit:
- Demonstrated highly developed oral and written skills to conduct interviews, facilitate workshops, deliver training programs, and author implementation documentation on enterprise and/or category (e.g. ICT, finance, HR, etc) risk management and governance.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, consultative, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with and manage stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Proven ability to think strategically, analyse issues and deliver high quality, reliable and authoritative information and visualisations that inform decision-making on organisational priorities.
