The Team Leader, Marketing is a member of the Marketing team within the Strategic Communications Branch. The Marketing team:
- delivers statewide behaviour change campaigns that encourage, engage, and educate Queenslanders on preventative and public health issues
- coordinates approvals for marketing campaigns through the Government Advertising and Communication Committee (GACC) and the Cabinet Budget Review Committee (CBRC)
- works with suppliers, including creative and media agencies, internal stakeholders, and program areas to ensure social marketing campaigns are evidence-based and deliver meaningful and positive behaviour change.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior management across Queensland Health, including HHSs, other Queensland Government agencies and key stakeholders across the health sector.
- Provide high level advice and leadership on marketing campaigns and strategy.
- Develop and manage frameworks, systems and processes to ensure consumer insight and behaviour change communications principles are kept at the forefront of marketing campaigns and ensure value for money in all social marketing behaviour change campaigns.
- Manage external suppliers in the delivery of consumer testing, campaign development and campaign delivery, ensuring appropriate return on investment for Queensland Health.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering significant or complex social marketing campaigns within agreed budgets and timeframes, ensuring all output is aligned to strategic priorities.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level understanding of behaviour change theory and demonstrated successful application in a social marketing context.
- Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan and manage the delivery of numerous competing priorities.
- High level analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a communication and/or project management context.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills within a communications or marketing environment, including the ability to effectively coach and mentor staff.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to the positive culture of a team with a track record of maintaining a customer service mentality and supporting all colleagues to succeed.
