You will influence the strategic direction of the department's workforce development, advising on best practices for capability uplift, identifying and addressing emerging issues in leadership development and driving commitment to organisational goals through positive engagement and influencing outcomes.
What you'll do
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance to the Director, Leadership and Talent Development, Senior Director Talent and Organisational Development, executive and senior management, HHS's and other stakeholders on leadership development and capability uplift strategies, ensuring they align with Queensland Health's strategic goals.
- Oversee the design and implementation of a Capability Framework which outlines the level of skills and behaviours across the workforce that combine to deliver organisational objectives, developing and strengthening leadership and workforce capability to support action plans from Workforce Strategies (current and future) for Queensland to 2032.
- Lead in the development and delivery of innovative leadership programs tailored to enhance the capability and readiness of current and future leaders, preparing submissions, briefs and policy/research papers with system wide implications to ensure programs align with current and future workforce requirements.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated high level strategic leadership and knowledge of workforce capability frameworks to drive and deliver priorities and objectives, developing and overseeing the implementation of programs, assessing and advising on the strategic direction of initiatives and ensuring best practices in leadership development.
- High level analytical and research skills, issue identification, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice, presentations and reports to complex challenges.
