The role
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and managing projects related to the HR Business Intelligence program of works. This may include delivery of new applications or components, extension or upgrade of existing applications or components.
The Project Manager will coordinate across Corporate Services Division teams, and with external stakeholders as required, to lead the planning and the delivery of HRBI solutions and related products in accordance with established Release Management processes, enhancing where required PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programs (MSP) methodologies.
If required, the project manager will lead the development of a business case(s) to seek funding for initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex project(s) in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies.
- Promote and ensure the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, aligned with organisational project and program management approaches, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
- Oversee and manage the monitoring, controlling, and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans, deliverables, and schedules.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Proven experience in the management and delivery of complex enterprise software project(s), preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Expertise in, and application of, appropriate project management methodologies including PRINCE2, producing a high standard of project management products, from project establishment through to delivery and closeout.
- Proven stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Proven excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
- Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring multifaceted technical and functional IT resources.
- Proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
