About the role
Casual opportunity to undertake a range of duties which provide an effective and confidential administrative service as directed by the Facility Manager, Senior Administration Officer, and Nurse Unit Manager Minor Injuries and Illness Clinic (MII Clinic). Ensuring provision of an efficient, effective, and confidential administrative support service, operating with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position while maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the department and other members of the clinical teams.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Exercise judgement and discretion in undertaking various tasks whilst being responsible for the quality of work undertaken.
- Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of departmental / organisational goals.
- Consult with patients to obtain correct details for completion of registration and record information accurately into the hospital information system.
- High standard of clerical, administrative and/or secretarial support with exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work autonomously in a self-directed manner while contributing to patient flow.
- Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of internal information systems in addition to Microsoft Word and Excel.
