We are excited to offer a short-term opportunity until April 2026 as the Medical laboratory Scientist Virology. Molecular scientific staff are expected to perform a range of routine and diagnostic specialist Molecular testing duties as assigned, and to aid other members of the Molecular team, as required. The role must work effectively in a team environment to facilitate efficient processing of samples and timely availability of results to guide patient care and public health responses.

Provide input into the development of policies, scientific procedures and protocols and participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities within the virology laboratory.
Maintain knowledge, expertise, skills, judgment, troubleshooting, and problem solving in one or more areas of viral culture, molecular virology, or virus research.
