What you'll do
- Deliver expert Anatomical Pathology services that make a difference by providing timely, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic and consultation services that are both cost-effective and tailored to meet the clinical needs of referrers across Queensland.
- Play a key role in shaping the future of Anatomical Pathology by helping to design and implement strategic frameworks grounded in global best practices.
- Supervise and support registrars, fostering their growth and ensuring the highest standards of professional development.
About you
- Demonstrated contemporary knowledge, skills and ability in Anatomical Pathology, participate in the frozen section service, perform MDTs, be able to participate in the after-hours on call roster, and a high level of professionalism required in the position, especially objectivity.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills necessary for all aspects of the position.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to conduct relevant training, teaching, research, investigation, analysis and management
- Knowledge of the ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements demonstrating continued accreditation in your clinical specialty for all laboratories across a diverse network
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a medical qualification and tertiary qualification in Anatomical Pathology (FRCPA, or equivalent) and be registerable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Specialist Pathologist.
- The incumbents must be Fellows of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or equivalent.
