The PHC Director of Nursing is responsible for:
• Incorporating all aspects of nursing care in the rural setting while demonstrating the foundational elements of the Central West Professional Practice Model Nurses and Midwives.
• Clinical coordination of clinical care of the community, including acute and chronic illness.
• Advocating for the community's health care needs by active consultation to ensure service provision meets the community needs.

What's involved – The Director of Nursing (DON), is a Registered Nurse who can demonstrate advanced knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.
Location: Bedourie, Birdsville, Boulia, Isisford, Jundah, Muttaburra, Aramac, Tambo & Windorah. This process will be used to fill vacancies at all Primary Health Centre's within Central West HHS.
To be successful candidates will be a Registered Nurse who demonstrates:
- Competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care.
- Clinical expertise and proven operational management for remote area facility.
- Capacity to deliver health services across geographically diverse environments and population groups.
- Personal resilience to operate professionally and to work collaboratively with internal and external staff and stakeholders.
- Provision of expert clinical care.
