What's involved – The Director of Nursing - Primary Health Centre Remote Facilities (DONPHCRF) is responsible for the strategic, operational, and clinical leadership of rural and remote healthcare services at Central West Hospital and Health Service (CWHHS), including operational leadership of Primary Healthcare Centres in Jundah, Windorah, Bedourie, Boulia, Birdsville, and Jericho Clinic.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the effective use of human, financial, and material resources to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care in remote settings.
- Fostering a positive workplace culture focused on excellence in healthcare.
- Driving innovation, research, and clinical education initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Providing advanced clinical leadership and managing comprehensive care delivery and staff development.
- Supporting the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery Service (EDNMS) in standardising integrated health services across CWHHS and partner agencies.
- Offering expertise in clinical management and portfolio leadership to optimise nursing and midwifery practices and contribute to strategic development.
- The role will include but is not limited to supporting relief Director of Nursing work in CWHHS Primary Health Centre Remote Facilities.
