What's involved – You will provide health care to residents and visitors to CWHHS. Be part of a local medical team consisting of a Director of Medical Services (DMS), Senior Medical Officers (SMO), and Principal House Officer/Registrars who form part of a team of 31 SMOs and PHO/Registrars working in a unique employment model across the health service.
You will be working in a multidisciplinary team in a general practice, hospital and outreach setting to promote healthy lifestyles, manage chronic disease and provide emergency and inpatient services.

Role requirements:
- Current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority) to practice as a medical practitioner.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
- Possession of a Fellowship in General Practice (FACRRM or FRACGP) or evidence of acceptance as a trainee leading to these qualifications.
- Appointment as a Rural Generalist or Provisional Fellow will require one or more of the following advanced skills:
- Indigenous Health, Mental Health, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Small Town Remote Medicine/Rural Medicine (college certified).
- Current ALS level certification within the last 3 years
- A ‘Rural Generalist' qualification (FACRRM, FARGP or FRACGP-RG) is highly regarded.
- You are required to maintain the credentials which the employer determines are necessary for you to perform your duties within the scope of your clinical practice.
