What your day will look like….
As a Senior Medical Officer, you'll work at the heart of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, delivering compassionate care to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency presentations. Your day will involve a rich mix of clinical responsibilities, from diagnosing and managing diverse cases to guiding junior doctors and allied health professionals. You'll lead clinical improvements, engage with local outreach services in towns like Texas, Inglewood, Stanthorpe, and Warwick, and contribute to health promotion across the region. Whether you're facilitating peer reviews, mentoring medical students, or refining patient care pathways, your focus will be on improving outcomes and enriching the health and wellbeing of the rural communities you serve.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $429,551 (L27) comprising salary rates between $344,980 (L13) and $429,551 p.a. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
