What your day will look like….
You'll work closely with older people and their families, providing holistic psychiatric care that supports recovery, dignity, and wellbeing. Your role will span direct patient care, collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding treatment decisions tailored to individual needs. Alongside clinical practice, you'll contribute to service development, mentor junior doctors and trainees, and engage in teaching and research through links with the University of Queensland Rural Medical School. Each day will give you the chance to make a meaningful difference, balancing hands-on care with leadership and innovation in mental health.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $368,514 (L18) up to $460,349 (L27) comprising salary rates between $100.78 (L18) and $127.77 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
