Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.
About the Role
- Reporting directly to the Nursing Director, Clinical Informatics Director this role will support staff in relation to integrated electronic medical record (ieMR), Q-Flow, Trendcare and Patient Flow Manager.
- You will also support the Nursing Director, Clinical Informatics Director by identifying inconsistencies between practice and policy, and work in collaboration with the interprofessional team to implement changes.
- One temporary full-time position up to 9 May 2027 - One temporary full-time position from 1 July 2025 up to 30 December 2025
- The incumbent is required to participate in the 24/7 pro-rata On-Call Roster for Digital Metro North.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in clinical informatics support and system administration functions where applicable, across multiple clinical applications including ieMR, Q-Flow, Trendcare and Patient Flow Manager.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics.
- Responsible for the professional development of self and others utilising contemporary practice in the delivery of improved standards of care.
- May work across professional and organisational boundaries to influence health service and/or professional outcomes in relation to clinical informatics.
- Participate directly or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care, act as a clinical resource, advisor, mentor, role model, and technical expert, in relation to digital workflow transition, application testing, implementation, change, training, adoption and optimisation.
