About the Role
Reporting directly to the Manager-Technical Applications Management, you will provide high level specialist technical expertise in the maintenance and support of clinical systems, including clinical imaging systems and the Metro North vendor neutral archiving platform, ensuring that Digital Metro North services meet the needs of Metro North Health.
This successful applicant will:
- Provide expert support, guidance and coordination to relevant support bodies ensuring successful:
- device and systems integration (including Digital Imaging devices & other clinical devices),
- applications and updates deployment, including regression testing and identification of defects for resolution.
- investigate and request changes and modifications to application modules to address customer needs by participating in application review and evaluation.
- Provide application support utilising Microsoft Windows Server or Linux operating systems and (desirably) have experience with the following technologies:
- Server virtualisation
- load balancing
- Active Directory, DNS & DHCP
- PKI Certificates
- HL7 & DICOM (or similar)
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven high level ICT technical expertise, support and administration in accordance with departmental standards, policies, procedures and ITIL processes, in order to maintain the local ICT desktop operational environment and defined local desktop systems.
- Expert skill and ability in providing local Information & Communication Technology (ICT) support to defined service levels and demonstrated written communication skills including the ability to prepare instructions, reports and system documentation.
- High level and effective oral and written communication skills, and an ability to work in a team environment establishing and cultivating productive working relationships with confident consultation and communication skills with customers at all levels within the organisation to understand customers needs and deliver an organised service that meets the customers expectations.
