Metro North Health is looking for a temporary part time, 30.4hrs per fortnight, Configuration Support Officer with the ideal candidate having experience in hospital pharmacy or an EMM program or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the work practices related to medication management.

Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North.  In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Pharmacist Manager, Electronic Medication Management (EMM) – you will work directly with key stakeholders at all Metro North facilities utilising the supported EMM applications and associated data sets. Your role will include maintaining an up-to-date configuration of the supported EMM systems. Participating in the development of test cases and test plans related to the supported EMM systems. Contributing to the development of unit services through the development of user manuals, knowledge base articles and training materials for the supported EMM systems.

Key knowledge and experience

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Thorough knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge of the Metro North Health EMM applications and associated digital systems.
  • Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the work practices related to medication management in Metro North Health.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of staff within and external to Metro North Health and with the public, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply information technology skills to rapidly identify and analyse problems presented by End Users of the supported EMM systems.
  • Knowledge across a broad range of information technology systems, solutions and equipment utilised within a large-scale organisation such as Queensland Health.
  • Significant knowledge of Metro North Health medication management systems, stakeholder policies and procedures to ensure the supported EMM systems are utilised in the most appropriate manner through regular research and engagement with stakeholders.
