It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.

Digital Metro North are seeking an experienced Principal Test Lead, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, to join our highly productive and experienced testing team. The ideal candidate would have proven experience in the planning of program and project level testing activities within a large, complex digital and ICT project/s preferably in a health care environment utilising testing methodologies and tool sets. About the Role 

Reporting to the Manager Testing Services – Digital Portfolio Services, you will manage and lead all aspects of testing delivery for the implementation of large scale and complex digital and technical solutions across Digital Metro North (DMN). You will also provide expert testing technical advice whilst ensuring DMN testing aligns with contemporary information communication and technology (ICT) frameworks.

Key knowledge and experience

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience working in high performing testing teams in the delivery of testing services supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of digital applications and information systems to a large, complex organisations preferably in the health care sector.
  • Develop and lead the development of the design, planning and testing of software solutions and projects, ensuring alignment with best practice digital and ICT design and delivery frameworks.
  • Lead and ensure the implementation of quality testing methods to align with best practice ICT testing frameworks which encompasses strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools and standards.
  • Develop a repeatable test methodology, testing artefacts and tool set for DMN projects and ensure continual improvement as lessons are learnt.
  • Oversee and be responsible for the integrity of testing and acceptance activities and coordinate the execution of these activities for a project.
  • Assist project managers with resourcing and scheduling to assist meeting project milestones with clearly documented testing estimates and options around risk-based approaches relevant to project scope.
  • Plan, prepare and execute functional test projects adhering to ICT test products – System, System Integration, Regression, UAT and PVT
  • Oversee and co-ordinate non-functional test projects with internal and external parties e.g stress, performance, load, security and disaster recovery / high availability test cases for digital solutions.
