The role:
As a Principal Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Project Director of the Cyber Security Program. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the full project lifecycle and the successful delivery of Cyber Security projects in line with Queensland Health's project management methodologies. You will be required to manage multiple in-flight enterprise projects simultaneously and deliver them successfully within agreed timeframes, budget, and quality standards.
You will ensure performance against project plans and budgets is met. Additionally, you will enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for project stakeholders.

To be successful in the Principal Project Manager role you will have proven experience in the delivery of large and complex projects, preferably across Cyber Security Projects and/or within the Healthcare industry.
The ideal candidate will have the demonstrated skills and experience across the following:
- High level of expertise and knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2, and the ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
- High level of project management skills, with the ability to achieve successful project outcomes.
- High level interpersonal, negotiation, consultation, and communication skills to create a strong client focus.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple multi-disciplinary project teams will be an essential requirement in this role.
The following experience will be highly regarded:
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation, integration and migration of Endpoint capabilities, Firewalls, Secure Web Gateways, Multifactor Authentications and Identity Solutions (Workforce and Privileged) in a large and federated organisation.
- Demonstrated domain knowledge across proxies, firewalls, access management or Endpoint Projection.
- Knowledge and experience in delivery projects focussed on achieving essential eight strategies.
- An understanding of the operational environment within hospitals and the role that Cyber plays to support them is desirable.
While experience in health care is not a mandatory requirement, we highly value candidates who have demonstrated relevant experience in clinical systems, health IT, or digital health. If your experience is in other sectors, please make sure to outline how your knowledge can transfer to the healthcare context.
