Warwick West State School is seeking a Teacher Aide to work on a part-time basis for 60 hours per fortnight, 0.79 FTE, on a temporary basis from 14 July 2025 (beginning of Term 2, 2025) to 26 June 2026 (end of Term 2, 2026), unless otherwise determined.

About the Role
As a Teacher Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
The teacher aide position will be working with Students with Disabilities who require extensive adjustments to access the school environment and learning.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting students with various complex learning needs, complex behaviours and complex medical needs;
- Supporting students from a range of backgrounds;
- Supporting students with toileting and health management needs (training provided);
- Supporting students through the use of Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) and keyword signing;
- Supporting students in and out of the classroom, including during lunch times;
- 1:1 support and small group work to access the curriculum;
- Supporting Students with Social/Emotional needs.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills (desirable and preferred):
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Interest and/or experience in working with students with diverse learning needs
- High attention to detail, with initiative and motivation to achieve goals
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with a diverse range of people
- High energy and physical ability to actively support students in classrooms and play areas
- Professional respect for privacy and confidentiality of student and family information
