Wilsonton State High School is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Principal to join its leadership team at 0.6 FTE until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
As the Deputy Principal, you will play a key role in improving the educational outcomes of students, developing the quality of teaching and learning, and fostering positive relationships between students, staff, the community and key stakeholders. The role focuses on supporting school-wide improvement through effective leadership and collaboration. This is a part-time position, working 30 hours per fortnight at a 0.60 FTE.
Your Responsibilities
As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead a culture of high expectations, fostering the belief that all students can achieve and all teachers can teach to a high standard.
- Drive the implementation of the school's strategic priorities and Explicit Improvement
- Agenda through effective data use, project management and quality assurance.
- Quality assure curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in alignment with the Australian Curriculum, QCAA requirements and the school's Pedagogical Framework.
- Build the capability of Heads of Department and school-based leaders through targeted line management and professional development aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Oversee budgeting and action planning for delegated departments, cohorts and school initiatives, ensuring equitable and effective use of resources.
- Form strong partnerships with students, families, other schools, government agencies and community organisations to support student engagement and achievement.
- Lead and model compliance with departmental legislation, policy and frameworks, including those related to inclusion, wellbeing, behaviour, and staff performance.
