About the Role
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), you will lead the strategic development and implementation of curriculum in alignment with school and departmental initiatives. In this role, you will actively contribute to delivering the vision of the State Schools Division, working to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school. Your leadership will support the professional growth of staff and promote high standards of educational practice. You will also play a vital role in building and maintaining positive relationships with students, teachers, and key stakeholders to foster a collaborative and supportive school community.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
