An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced educational leader to join the leadership team at Dalby State High School as Head of Bunya Campus.

Located in the heart of the Darling Downs, approximately 2.5 hours west of Brisbane and 1 hour west of Toowoomba, Dalby State High School is a large, multi-campus secondary school delivering quality education to students from Years 7 to 12.

The Bunya Campus is a specialist boarding facility and one of only three state campuses in Queensland, providing unique opportunities for students who require additional support and alternative pathways to success.

The campus offers a supportive and inclusive environment with flexible learning spaces, outdoor recreation areas, and access to specialist programs.

Your Responsibilities 

As the Head of Campus (Level 4), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Lead the Bunya Campus team to deliver high-quality educational outcomes for residential students through innovative engagement programs and personalised learning pathways that support academic success, wellbeing, and life skills in a boarding environment.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive residential setting that promotes positive behaviour, strong relationships, and a sense of belonging for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with the Principal and leadership team to align campus operations with the school's strategic vision, improvement agenda, and boarding-specific priorities.
  • Act as the Principal's delegate when required, providing continuity of leadership across Dalby State High School's multi-campus structure.
  • Embed socially just and inclusive practices in all aspects of campus life, ensuring equity and access for every student.
  • Set and maintain high standards for student engagement, academic achievement, and staff performance, fostering a culture of excellence and care.
  • Strengthen community and industry partnerships, including those linked to the school's extensive 25-hectare agricultural farm, to enhance learning opportunities and pathways for residential students.
  • Lead with integrity and uphold the head of campus role as a values-driven, ethical, and moral leadership position.
