A knowledge of various counselling interventions will be necessary in this role.

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Thrive in a role with a varied caseload, particularly focusing on mild-to-moderate mental health concerns, and the provision of therapeutic interventions to address them.

  • Are highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.

Why Join Us?

  • Flexibility: Choose from full-time or part-time options and enjoy the opportunity to accrue time off during term time to take during school holidays.
  • Support for new staff: Structured onboarding to the social worker role and education system, and regular check-ins and supervision tailored to your needs as you orient to your new role
  • Connection with the school social worker network: access to regular peer support and supervision from other school social workers
  • Professional Development: Engage in specialised growth and learning opportunities.
  • Financial Benefits: Enjoy a 12.5% superannuation rate and salary packaging options.
  • Wellbeing Support: Access our Employee Assistance Program and other supportive Department programs.
  • Equipment Provided: Receive a laptop, mobile phone, and access to a fleet vehicle for school travel.
