Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • To provide direct support to teachers and students to promote school attendance and engagement.
  • Assist students to regulate, relate, reason and restore - to enhance their engagement with learning.
  • Work with small groups to implement social skilling and engagement programs.
  • Work closely with colleagues.
  • Support families and students to access supports.
  • Work as a part of our student services team.
  • Monitor, evaluate and develop strategies that build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Build partnerships with community organisations, external stakeholders to improve outcomes.
  • Facilitate community professional development sessions for staff, parents and caregivers.
  • Promote a positive school culture, team cultute or team priorities.
  • Use school attendance and other data to monitor students' wellbeing and engagement and intervene early by providing counselling and support to address reasons for wellbeing concerns and disengagement.
  • Work with students, and their families, to determine and implement strategies suited to their context that help students to have a more positive educational experience.
  • Enhance students' social skills, assertiveness, self-esteem and problem-solving skills through a strengths-based approach to providing support.
  • Develop targeted strategies with students to address school avoidance or difficulties navigating social and learning situations.
  • Work collaboratively with cohorts of students that may be facing similar challenges to build peer relationships and establish social networks for support
