About the Role

As the Head of Diverse Learning, you will work in close partnership with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team, playing a key role in shaping strategic direction and driving inclusive practices that support the diverse needs of all learners.

Your role ensures the effective implementation of inclusive education frameworks, strengthening staff capability and fostering a culture of equity, access and high expectations across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of inclusive education practices aligned to departmental policies and school priorities
  • Contribute to the school's improvement agenda as an active member of the Leadership Team
  • Build staff capability in differentiated teaching and inclusive pedagogies
  • Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of individualised student supports and plans
  • Lead planning and case management for students with complex learning needs
  • Implement and coordinate school-wide systems, including data systems, to monitor students with disability and support the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD).
  • Support QCIA planning and pathway processes for eligible students within the secondary school context.
  • Support inclusive practices and targeted strategies for EAL/D learners in collaboration with classroom teachers and support staff.
  • Establish and maintain productive partnerships with parents, external agencies and community stakeholders
  • Effectively manage human, financial and physical resources to achieve strategic outcomes
