An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and strategic educational leader to join Dalby South State School as Principal (Level 5).

Located approximately 210km northwest of Brisbane, the school provides Prep to Year 6 education for around 461 students in a supportive regional setting.

This role will lead a clear improvement agenda focused on quality teaching and learning, inclusive practice and strengthened community partnerships.

You will guide a committed school community, foster high expectations and collaboration, and drive continuous improvement to support every student to succeed.

About the School

Dalby South State School is a Prep to Year 6 primary school located in the regional township of Dalby.

The school is part of a close-knit regional community and provides a supportive environment where staff and families work together to support student learning and engagement.

About the Role

As the Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Lead the school community in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Uphold values-based, ethical leadership.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Nurture positive partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand policies and legislation effecting the department.
  • Manage department resources to achieve goals.
