The role
Queensland Health is seeking an exceptional executive leader to oversee the Health Infrastructure Queensland Division. As Deputy Director-General, Health Infrastructure Queensland you will provide strategic leadership and governance for major and complex capital works portfolio, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and future-ready healthcare facilities across the state.

The successful person
The successful person will be a proven leader with:

  • Extensive experience in health infrastructure delivery within complex, politically and commercially sensitive environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including navigating government processes and community engagement.
  • A track record of driving performance and delivering outcomes in large-scale, devolved systems.
  • The ability to lead with influence, manage risks and deliver results under tight timeframes.

About Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ)  
The Health Infrastructure Queensland Division delivers the capital planning, build and maintenance programs for Queensland Health in partnership with Hospital and Health Services. Established to support the health system in achieving high-quality built environments tailored for the needs of Queensland Health. 

Responsible for the capital infrastructure delivery lifecycle, HIQ oversees all major health and hospital projects, delivering capital infrastructure projects and supporting Hospital and Health Services with asset management strategy development and delivery of maintenance programs.
