Release Manager
Negotiable within Queensland
The purpose of this role is to ensure the technical delivery for the end-to-end management of the Windows as a Service (WaaS) and Office as a Service (OaaS) Feature Update Releases in the Queensland Health Enterprise end-point computer Managed Operating Environment (MOE). The Release Manager ensures the Releases take place on schedule, complies with associated process requirements and is in alignment with business interests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to business and technical support personnel for the delivery of the Queensland Health end point computing ‘Always Current' strategy.
- Provide expert advice and support to Delivery Services Branch in regards to the ‘Always Current' policies and practises, and represent eHealth Queensland in the ‘Always Current Governance Committee' and the ‘Always Current Operation Working group'.
- Contribute to the development of a strategic vision and direction for Queensland Health for the testing of business systems, and applications development and maintenance pertaining to the ‘Always Current' strategy.
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people including senior management, technical stakeholders, and external service providers to make decisions.
- Well-developed project management skills and knowledge including high level ability in the areas of planning, managing resources, and process compliance.
Specific Working Conditions:
- Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply.
- Reasonable travel as negotiated may be a requirement of this position.
- An open ‘C' class driver's licence is desirable.
