The successful candidate will develop strong working and strategic influencing relationships with key business stakeholders within the Department of Health, Hospital and Health Services and with other external stakeholders.
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Significant demonstrated experience in leading, managing and mentoring multi-disciplinary professional teams to effectively harness
the power of big data for enhanced insight, and in so doing supporting large and complex organisations make more timely and accurate decisions at all levels.
- Ability to manage the provision of specialist knowledge and advice over a range of topics influencing government, health system, departmental and eHealth strategic direction in relation to health service provision.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate this analysis into pragmatic approaches that create real value for those managing the health system and for Hospital and Health Systems who are delivering healthcare to Queenslanders.
- Proven effective oral and written communication skills as well as negotiation skills with the ability to initiate and influence relationships with and between stakeholders, including senior executives, facilitating open communication and collaborative working relationships.
- High level portfolio management skills, overseeing a portfolio of projects and business as usual activities in support of service outcomes; particularly in the field of business or clinical intelligence and data analytics
