The Principal Analyst, ITFM forms an integral part of the Commercial Strategy team within the Operations and Performance Branch and reports to the Director, Commercial Strategy. With a primary focus on maturing a recently implemented IT Financial Management solution and support model, the position will also be responsible for the coordination and contract management of the solution vendor to ensure the business and performance reporting needs of a diverse range of stakeholders continue to be met.

We are looking for a Principal Analyst, IT Financial Management (ITFM) to join the Operations & Performance Branch on permanent, full time basis.  The successful candidate will gain a comprehensive understanding of the IT Financial Management solution and associated ICT service cost models needed to support various user/stakeholder groups, inform continuous improvement initiatives, and mature ICT financial and service performance reporting.

Reporting/work relationships

The position reports directly to Director Commercial Strategy. The position has no direct reports.

Mandatory qualifications, registrations and other requirements

  • While not mandatory, a tertiary degree and professional qualifications in finance or closely related field is highly desirable.
  • It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16):
    • measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
    • varicella (chicken pox)
    • pertussis (whooping cough)
    • hepatitis B
    • tuberculosis

Role fit

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Demonstrated ICT financial management (or equivalent) and cost modelling experience, including conversant utilisation and continuous improvement of financial management solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor contractual management, coordination of solution upgrades/enhancements, and user/stakeholder communication and change management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a broader team, problem solve, and actively share information and knowledge.
