The purpose of this role is to manage large scale complex technical environments used in the support of an Enterprise Systems Integration platform whilst ensuring both change control processes are adhered to and defined Service levels are met. The successful applicant would also provide expert technical advice whilst ensuring alignment with contemporary Information Management (IM)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) frameworks.
What you'll do
- Manage the design, planning and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
- Specifies and designs complex systems and recommends appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures effective application.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of technical specialisms and provides expert advice regarding their application.
- Manage the development, publication, implementation and compliance of all program/project(s) deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Experience in the design, publication, implementation, compliance and delivery of Systems integration to industry best practice frameworks for large scale clustering DRBD, Load balancing tools such as HA Proxy, complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry (SFIA Skill: ITMG: Level 5, HSIN: Level 4)
- Experience designing systems and providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques, methods and tools for large scale complex organisations which have used UNIX and LINUX and puppet configuration (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 4, METL: 5)
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing, Collaborative working)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary project team. (NHS: Leading change through people)
- Experience with an Enterprise Systems Integration application such as Linux or Unix is highly desirable
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of Dev Ops tools including Atlassian, ELK Stack, Grafana is highly desirable
- Experience with large-scale server administration tools for Configuration management, Clustering DRDB and managing Vendor VM Cloud infrastructure is highly desirable
- Experience with:
- At least one Operating Systems - Linux, UNIX, Solaris, BSD, Netware Database administration technologies such as PostgreSQL is highly desirab
- At least one Scripting &/or Programming Language – Python, VBS, Perl, C, C++, Prologue, Shell (Unix ),
