What you'll do
- Provides strategic leadership and decision-making support to the eHealth Queensland Chief Executive Officer / Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer and other senior stakeholders.
- Stays current with developments in new technologies and platforms and is abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Identifies and implements best practices for optimising operations costs, increasing data centre efficiency and resilience, improving network performance, and ensuring service level requirements are met.
- Works collaboratively with peers across eHealth to ensure alignment and consistency of end to end processes across the organisation and proactively seeks to transition to and improve the provision of contemporary services opportunities.
- Accountability for ensuring a high level of knowledge and skill is continuously transferred across the Digital Infrastructure Services' workforce to increase capability, professional development and subject matter expertise of critical end-to-end ICT technology infrastructure.
- Provides proactive and pre-emptive advice to Senior Responsible Owners, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Executive Leadership Team including relevant governance on emerging operational risks and issues and their impacts to statewide clinical services and devise and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Five or more years experience in senior ICT professional roles delivering services to large, complex corganisations.
- Strong leadership capability including influencing senior-level management and key stakehoders both internally and externally to Queensland Health and industry partners.
- Proven ability at the senior level to provide leadership and strategic direction that enables the delivery of quality data centre, network and telecommunications infrastructure services.
- Demonstrated operational leadership and senior management skills within a diverse and complex service delivery organisation and the ability to use those to influence the ICT agenda supporting health care delivery.
- Proven track record of working with stakeholders in both clinical and business communities to drive large scale, complex digital infrastructure change agendas.
- Proven ability to effectively manage large operational teams and budgets including contract management within a large, complex ICT environment.
