As Manager, Corporate Services, you will provide senior leadership and trusted advice that underpins EWOQ's independence, integrity and long term sustainability.

Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy, Operations and Governance, and as a member of the leadership group, the role has organisation wide influence.

You will lead EWOQ's financial, procurement and facilities management functions, ensuring strong governance, sound financial stewardship and corporate services that enable our people to focus on delivering fair outcomes for customers.

The role also plays a critical part in risk management, statutory reporting and executive decision making.

To be successful for this role you will:

Financial

  • Provide expert analysis, forecasting and reporting to support informed decision‑making by senior leadership in our industry-funded scheme.
  • Lead preparation of the annual budget and associated financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Oversee statutory financial reporting obligations, including annual financial statements, and manage relationships with internal and external auditors (including QAO).
  • Maintain and develop financial policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance, efficiency and alignment with whole‑of‑government frameworks.
  • Manage the relationship with our strategic partner (Corporate Administration Agency) to ensure the delivery of financial systems and services.

Procurement

  • Ensure procurement processes comply with legislative, policy and organisational requirements.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for procurement planning, tendering, evaluation, and contract management.
  • Support business areas to implement best‑practice procurement and value‑for‑money outcomes

Facilities

  • Oversee accommodation, building, and equipment requirements to ensure safe, functional and compliant work environments.
  • Manage leases, maintenance activities and operational facility's needs, including business continuity considerations.
  • Support planning for future accommodation and facilities requirements.

Leadership

  • Provide direction, coaching and support to a small team of two direct reports and mentoring to the broader team members of Strategy, Operations and Governance to build capability and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, ethical conduct, safety, inclusion and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning within the corporate services areas

Risk management

  • Apply governance, compliance and risk frameworks across financial, procurement and facilities activities, escalating issues in accordance with organisational processes.
  • Monitor and contribute to the management of operational risks related to financial practices, contract performance, business continuity and facilities operations by providing informed advice and maintaining appropriate controls.
  • Support risk‑aware decision‑making and assurance activities through accurate documentation and participation in audits and internal/external reviews.
