Torres Strait Kaziw Meta Inc. provides quality residential care and well-being support to around 65 students from the outer island communities of the Torres Strait who leave their home communities to attend secondary school at Tagai State College on Thursday Island. The students who live at Kaziw Meta are in Years 7-12 and the facility houses both boys and girls.

The successful applicant will work alongside residential staff from Kaziw Meta and teaching staff from Tagai State College to provide a range of quality education supports which will facilitate residential students participating successfully in their education at Tagai.

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, resilient and resourceful teacher who has a passion for working with Indigenous students in a diverse and challenging environment.

The successful applicant will be required to work outside of the normal 8.30 am to 3.30 pm hours.
