Bentley Park College are seeking a temporary Head of Department - Student Services to be a part of our dynamic Primary School Student Services team.

You will lead a broad range of student support programs, including counselling, welfare, and special needs coordination. Collaborating with external agencies, you will deliver tailored assistance to meet individual student needs, ensuring equitable access to education and fostering a positive school culture.

This is a temporary full-time position commencing in Term 2 until 12 December 2025, with possible extension.

About the Role

As the Head of Department - Student Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership in Student Support: Oversee and direct the Student Services department, providing professional guidance on all issues related to student welfare and support. 
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement departmental procedures and working practices to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to service delivery. 
  • Collaboration with Senior Management: Assist the Senior Management Team in developing college frameworks for student support and welfare. 
  • Resource Management: Manage human, financial, and curriculum resources within the department to achieve strategic goals. 
    Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and policies impacting students and staff.
