About the Role

As the Deputy Principal (Special Education), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the special education program (SEP) to develop and commit to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Promote socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, community groups.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand policies and legislation affecting the department.
  • Manage SEP resources to achieve goals.
