About the Role
As the Deputy Principal (Special Education), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the special education program (SEP) to develop and commit to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Promote socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
- Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, community groups.
- Be future-oriented and strategic.
- Understand policies and legislation affecting the department.
- Manage SEP resources to achieve goals.
