Biboohra State School is seeking applications for a Business Manager position.
In this role, you will play a key part in providing exceptional customer service and financial support to the school. Biboohra State School is a small, historically rich school located just ten minutes north of Mareeba in Far

This position is 60 hours and 0.83 FTE per fortnight, for a period of 3 months, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role
Overview of Responsibilities:
This role offers the opportunity to operate autonomously, providing essential business services within a dynamic school environment. You will be responsible for a comprehensive range of administrative support, including report preparation and problem-solving, while frequently interpreting complex information and adapting processes to ensure efficient operations.
A key aspect of this position involves the day-to-day supervision and management of school support staff. This includes monitoring workloads, performance (in collaboration with the Principal for sensitive matters), identifying capability needs, and serving as a role model for performance standards. You will also oversee timesheet and leave approvals, rostering, relief arrangements, and coordinate the recruitment, induction, and training of support staff.
Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Principal with budget preparation and administration, undertaking daily financial activities such as expenditure review, payroll, and purchasing. This extends to monitoring and advising on facilities and grounds maintenance, managing resource procurement, and actively building networks with other Business Managers to champion best practices in corporate services.
