About the Role
As a Guidance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the personal, emotional, and academic development of students. You will collaborate closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to provide a proactive, student-centered approach to wellbeing. Your work will focus on identifying individual needs, implementing effective interventions, and fostering a safe and supportive school environment where all students can thrive.
Your Responsibilities
As the Guidance Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing counselling, assessment, case management, and referral services to support students' educational and emotional needs
- Implementing proactive wellbeing initiatives and early intervention programs
- Supporting career development and SET planning
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary support team to develop individualised student support plans
- Supporting school-wide initiatives in behaviour management, mental health, and student protection
