About the Role
As the Regional Community Education Counsellor (Identified) you will have a pivotal role in supporting a range of tasks including but not limited to:
- Provide professional supervision and capability development for CEC's to deliver educational counselling and support services within specific secondary schools to ensure that the best possible services are available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities.
- Provide cross cultural awareness training to the broader school community to enhance understanding and empathy for the educational and related social needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary students.
- Build capability of CEC's to establish and maintain links with external bodies and support services to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary students.
- Provide advice on policies, operations and services to regional senior management.
