School Food Program Coordinator - Wonga Beach State School

An exciting opportunity is available to co-ordinate the various food programs offered by Wonga Beach State School.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a team environment but can still work autonomously and show initiative.

Coordinate the administration of the school canteen, supervise canteen staff and provide quality customer service to students, clients and staff through professional, timely and cost-effective canteen and catering services.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.21FTE), 16 hours per fortnight.

Programs include: Breakfast Club, Tuckshop and other food-related initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the daily operation of the school canteen and oversee the preparation of food and counter services.
  • Identify stock requirements and place orders with appropriate vendors on a regular basis.
  • Participate in regular stocktake, recording and reporting processes.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records for the canteen and associated catering operations including filing of ordering, receipt and associated documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers to maximise earning potential for the school.
