We are seeking a caring, flexible and proactive Teacher Aide to support students with disabilities across our school.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.38FTE), 29 hours per fortnight.

  • Support students with disabilities to access learning programs and classroom routines
  • Assist teachers to implement adjustments, behaviour supports and learning plans
  • Provide support during literacy, numeracy and intervention programs
  • Assist students with organisation, communication, self-regulation and social participation
  • Support safe and positive playground and transition routines
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, leadership and support staff
  • Contribute to calm, inclusive and supportive learning environments
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with students and families
  • Create resources
  • Take part in the playground duty roster

We are looking for someone who:

  • Genuinely enjoys working with children and building positive relationships
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and emotional regulation
  • Works well as part of a team and follows teacher direction
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is reliable, flexible and proactive
  • Can support students in a calm, respectful and consistent manner
  • Understands the importance of inclusion and high expectations for all students

The following would be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience as a teacher aide or supporting children in schools or community settings
  • Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, communication difficulties or complex behaviours
  • Knowledge of inclusive practices, behaviour support or trauma-informed approaches
  • Experience implementing literacy, numeracy, self regulation and social skill interventions
