Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • The Head of Department (Technologies) provides strategic instructional leadership and management of the Technologies faculty, overseeing Digital Technologies,
  • Food Specialisations and Industrial Design and Technology to ensure the delivery of high-quality curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment programs that support student achievement, engagement and future pathways.
  • The role leads curriculum development, assessment moderation, data-informed improvement and the implementation of evidence-based pedagogical practices aligned with the Australian Curriculum, QCAA requirements and departmental priorities.
  • Working collaboratively with staff, the Head of Department mentors and develops teachers, fosters a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations, and promotes innovative, authentic and industry-connected learning experiences.
  • The position is responsible for managing faculty budgets, resources, specialist facilities and workplace health and safety requirements, while also building and maintaining partnerships with local industry, training organisations and the wider community to enhance student opportunities.
  • As a member of the school's leadership team, the Head of Department contributes to whole-school improvement initiatives and advocates for the Technologies learning area.
