Expressions of interest are being sought for short term temporary and relieving Guidance Officer opportunities across the Far North Queensland Region.

This continuous applicant pool is open to candidates who meet the mandatory requirements outlined in the attached role description and are current employee of the Department of Education.

Vacancies may be filled for periods of up to six months.

About the Role:

  • This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 6 months.
  • This continuous applicant pool is open to candidates who meet the mandatory requirements outlined in the attached role description and are a current Department of Education employee.
  • Applications will be reviewed and considered, if and when short term temporary vacancies arise. The submission of an application to this pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.

  • It is required that all applicants discuss with their current and/or substantive Principal support for the application and capacity to release.

  • The region may also elect to progress a separate EOI for individual Guidance Officer positions when considered appropriate.  
  • This position services all schools across the Far North Queensland Region and may require travel to a range of geographical locations, including regional, rural and remote settings.
